He’s started 12 games over the past two seasons. He’s had two IR stints and a six game suspension. Even on the field he struggles to separate in man coverage and with drops. He’s a really good #2 (when available) but he’s not a no doubt #1
@Conner_DKC He’s not just a WR1 but he’s also generational, I blame any failures that he’s had for horrific play calling and the WR coach being a guy who only coached WRs in high school before. Rice is one of about 9 rookie WRs ever to have an 85+ grade in PFF. 2 of that 9 are Puka & JJetas.

Newsflash the Chiefs haven’t had an elite DE since Frank Clark and he came from Seattle. We haven’t developed shit at that position under Veach and Spags. Best one is GK56 and he was first rounder and we can debate on elite which he’s not.

The problem is this isn’t a great edge rusher draft. Spags isn’t drafting T-Rex arms Bain. Faulk is a projection and potential pick and I don’t trust this staff to develop a DE. Bailey is awesome but doesn’t fit Spags measurables
The Chiefs should sign a RB/secondary WR and then draft the best edge rusher. Reasoning: KC needs to be cap-conscious and an elite RB costs far less than an elite edge rusher. Also, FA has a bunch of RBs to choose from.

Chiefs fans you might want to check out some of ASU WR Jordan Tyson’s metrics against man coverage. They’re absolutely outrageous and he is skyrocketing to my dream draft choice.
I swear to god Veach should just pull up whoever has the best spreadsheets against man coverage and pick that player. Worked for Rashee against zone and that’s his only hit (granted idk if he actually did this but only receiver that wasn’t tiny). # NoMore*****receivers
