Team lead was in a hurry to go for a vacation. Wrote some code and handed over it to me. He said “Bro, check everything is fine and deploy”. I took a cursory look and everything appeared fine to me, deployed to prod. Went home. I pushed a fucking syntax error to prod 😂 damn.

I was too sleepy to even open the editor to fix my teammate's bug. Just prompted Gemini 2.5 Pro to it and it did in a flash!. But the surprise though is not in fixing this but finding the same issue in 3 other files and fixing them too! .Now that's impressive!🫡

Missed out on trying Claude code, trying Gemini cli now and must say I'm liking it so far! . Not a lot of spoonfeeding required unlike other AI agents that I have tried.

💯 .Another reason why the industry paying based on YoE is a really bad metric!. The quality gap between a good 1 year dev vs a slacking 3 year dev is leap years!.
Some senior developers are really still junior developers who avoided getting fired for years.
