Ppl who think Kohli will 'ruin' his ODI legacy are delusional. He has done enough both in bilaterals as well as CWCs to seal the deal. Nothing he does now will change the fact that he's the greatest ODI bat of all time. Save this rant for Test cricket where it actually applies.

I still think the worst thing Kohli did was retire from Tests (yeah BCCI forced him for sure but his own form contributed to it). Doing well in Tests would have ensured he stayed match fit for ODIs as well & we wouldn't have any of these discussions at this point. Oh well.
Okay fine, It's the first match & Kohli tends to be fidgety until he has scored a run. The pitch is doing a lot as well so we shouldn't jump to conclusions. There's still hope & two more matches for him to compensate. Maybe this is a cope but yeah all is not lost.

With the kind of ball bashing modern players engage in, ppl don't realize the kind of impact slower courts & slow balls have on players. One wrist injury & it's over. There's no hope of them playing at 38 years like Federer or Djokovic.
@COR27EN @jackdraper0 Balls make a much bigger difference on how fast the court plays than the actual court speed. Shanghai last year had a very high CPI but the slow balls we used made it play slow. This year the balls were still slow and they also slowed the courts and it was brutal. I can say with

Honestly, this sport is so fickle. One serious injury to your Achilles tendon & your movement is finished. Chronic wrist injuries & your career is screwed. There's no point thinking how many slams a player can win in the next ten years.
