The average private jet emits 2 tonnes of carbon per hr. The average commercial short haul emits 8 tonnes of carbon a yr. A private jet to Nice & back is more than half a year’s emissions of a commercial plane. The UK is the biggest private jet polluter in Europe. Tax them.
