AI right now feels like dot-com all over again. companies with no need to use AI at all shove it into every product. two years down the line i expect AI bankruptcies left and right as companies realize you don’t need AI in your vending machine.

there’s a southern factor to this: all 3 states mentioned (TX, TN, FL) are in the south and the most extreme members of congress are mostly from the south, where the freedom caucus is also the most successful.
It's interesting that the two most Trumpian states, WV and WY, are not really actually all that far-right. By the standards of today's GOP, they're basically run by moderates. The furthest right policies we've seen are from states like FL, TX, TN, etc.
