But I find it curious that it downloads a different script based on useragent string. It's also very curious why it has a huge amount of obfuscated code when called without a useragent string vs when viewed from a browser.

Curious. @howtogeek posted about installing Play Store on Windows 11 that made use of the PowerShell Windows Toolbox. They had a disclaimer about it's trustworthiness but vouched for it. It's safe because it's open source and it's popular apparently.
