But wrestling is really just pretending you’re awesome at something regardless of your actual competence.

I’m always disappointed to see people’s surprise or disbelief when wrestling is exposed as the haven that it is for sexual predators. It’s upsetting to realize that people still don’t understand the prevalence of such predators, their apologists, and the damage they’ve caused.

I don’t like when people say I retired early. I was young, but had been wrestling for 12 years. I was done with wrestling and wish I had left a little earlier. There are no feelings on my end that things were cut short or left unfinished.

Wrestling Journalists: Just because a wrestler’s personal info is available to you doesn’t mean you should publish it. Even if the info is already online, you may be perpetuating a violation of privacy. Always ask before publishing legal names, non-wrestling job details, etc.

I once tried to convince Terry Funk that it was OK for him to hit me in a match. Two hours later, he was talking me into “calling it out there” with ladders and barbwire. We’ll never know if it was some giant rib, but it remains the single greatest memory of my wrestling career.

This is true and we can all help by respecting and supporting women in positions of power. It is common for wrestlers and crew of all genders to undermine the authority of women in power, who already struggle to be accepted as competent in and deserving of such positions.

I adopted a dog from Roswell. She was in the shelter for three weeks, suffering from internal hemorrhaging with no medical care. She had to be hospitalized immediately after adoption. (She’s OK now.) This shelter is a disgrace and I encourage everyone to save the animals here.
