Introducing !
A few months ago, I acquired this domain without any concrete intentions for it. This thread will explain my my thoughts for it moving forward 👇
In light of the mania happening on
@artblocks_io
today and lately, it's more important than ever to consider our own and others mental health when interacting with one another.
(1/4) It's hard to put into words what the Goose Ringer has meant for me in this past 7 months. I remember the first day that images of
@dmitricherniak
's Ringers project was shared before launch and feeling something click for me as to what was possible with generative art.
Quick passing thought about collecting and discovery of photographers work. One of the best and most genuine ways I discover new work is not through shilly DM's or comments, but from observing genuine engagement with others and my own posts.
It’s been said many times before, but being able to connect with artists who you support (and collectors who support you) so easily is the greatest thing about this space. Outside of some language barriers, it feels so borderless and global in a way I’ve never experienced. 🤍
✖️ The great Crossings migration has begun! ✖️
TLDR: the Houston series was previously minted and collected on another platform - I have re-minted them on my own
@withFND
smart contract for better visibility and for the two collections to be seen side by side, as intended.
While on our tour of the Perito Moreno Glacier in Patagonia, I took some tight shots of the ice formations. On the return flight, I made one into a phone wallpaper which I later realized looks JUST like Meridian

Excited to share my virtual gallery using
@oncyber_io
's new dark and futuristic curated space, Void. It's thrilling to be able to showcase some of the
@artblocks_io
pieces that include motion and even more so to be able to experience them in VR.
Excited to share my revamped gallery on
@oncyber
with a goal of showcasing photography and generative art along side one another. Big thanks to
@rayan_oncyber
and his team for the fly through! Some thoughts below on organization and curation 👇 (1/7)
While thinking about how to display my Hashmark, it dawned on me that a rock I’d collected from the shore of the glacial river adjacent to this magical place could make the perfect little pedestal. A bit of work and voila - a perfect embodiment of my experience.

It’s okay to have missed out on moonbirds. It’s okay to not own a fidenza. No punk? No problem. Take your time and act with intention, the rest will follow. Don’t let the hype machine of CT get to you, there is plenty of them to find the right projects that are right for you. 🤍
Currently cannot get enough of this incredible project, hollow, by
@jMarkusiewicz
on
@fx_hash_
. The series is inspired by sculptor Eduardo Chillada's conceptual work Monument of Tolerance. Jacek's rendition is masterfully done, the subtleties of which I'm still discovering.
📸's:
I'm hesitant to do this because I know what will follow, but looking to discover/rediscover some photographers work that has or is going unseen in this space. Please share links to a favorite project that still has work available (not your own) for myself and others to see.
Beyond thrilled to have collected my first piece from
@SuperRare
by an artist whose work I've followed and admired for a number of years, who continues to push the limits of how we think about lens based art and how to display it. Thank you
@Reuben_Wu
!
Behold, the Goose. This has been a long time coming so had to document the beautiful results from the efforts of
@dmitricherniak
and
@artxcode_io
. It's an honor to hold such a major piece from your Ringers collection, Dmitri. And to have it hung on our wall 🙌
@artblocks_io
1/6 Huge thanks to
@zancan
and
@Yazid
for creating such incredible work. It's organic, peaceful and playful all at once. I spent the afternoon honing my pen plotting skills (thanks
@ArtOnBlockchain
!) with (kinder)Garden, Monuments

.
(4/4) Lastly, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to
@zhusu
and
@kyled116
with 3AC for providing the Goose with an incredibly secure new home and to
@Vince_Van_Dough
for playing a major role in brokering the transaction. You three have truly changed my life today and I am grateful.
Major update to my
@oncyber_io
gallery. I've realized that in order to keep a gallery going with both my photography and generative art collections, I just won't be able to include all that I want. Curation! Hoping to cycle things in and out over time.

Except for the five old men (and those that put them in their seats for political gain) who think they have the right to determine what women can do with their own bodies. Wishing them a very non-gm.
Please be considerate of how this type of interaction might affect others, be kind to one another, and look out for each other. This is an intense time and we should celebrate it by lifting one another up with positivity and joy.
To me the main value of the print (and why I choose to offer them) is that it allows you to really live with the artwork. Collectors who do that are probably personally getting more out of the work than collectors who don’t.
I just typed "this is a marathon, not a sprint" in two different DM's, so thought I would reiterate that sentiment here. Lots of pressure to sell work at an unreasonable pace in this space, and it's good to remind ourselves to act with intention and not to expect too much at once
Turns out that the flight ✈️ to El Calafate is overbooked, I just got bumped.
Currently on standby to see if I can fly out today, or have to wait until tomorrow.
Wish me luck!
If I don't get out, I'll be searching for
@karatekid_xyz
to join me for dinner in Buenos Aires. :)

Given some time to reflect on the many mistakes I made leading to the draining of some of my assets, I’d like to share them as potential lessons for others, particularly those less experienced.
🔐🧵👇
Thrilled to share the addition of a piece from a collection that I've marveled at since the moment I first saw it in late 2021.
And to top it off, one that I consider remarkably special from a collector I've long admired.

For context and to hopefully help others: I stupidly clicked this link without realizing flamingo’s account had been compromised and the link had changed to a malicious site (.app vs .xyz). From there clicked on a button to connect/approve and signed two tx’s on mobile…
When did
@foundation
start showing
@SuperRare
pieces in their feed?! I like this trend of seeing a creators work that's on various platforms in multiple places.
Time to mute “FT” and related terms from this app, I can’t handle anymore shilling. Between this and every other person making a subscription service it’s too much. Let’s bring it back to the art pls.
Huge thanks to
@justinaversano
for kicking off the auction on Crossings (Venice) 23! It will be an honor to be included in your growing collection my friend! Psyched to put this ETH right back into the community 🤍
There are days when I think I am right in the thick of this NFT thing and really understand it, and then there are days like today where I go to the
@withFND
homepage and see this I realize I don't understand a thing.
Proud to share one of my favorite landscapes of Nugget Point Lighthouse in New Zealand has been minted and is now available on
@withFND
!
Read the backstory below 👇
I continue my streak of being too slow or late on
@QuantumNFT
drops, but today I couldn't resist diving in on secondary for
@_xst
's incredible collection Afromythology. Which I think makes two first for me: purchasing a photograph on secondary and collecting portraiture! 🤍
Huge sums of money are being exchanged and its not uncommon for people to shame (intentionally or not) those who may have sold a piece previously that today sold for several times more.
Three of the pieces from my Crossings (Venice) series have new bids on them! Thank you to the semi-mystery bidder! And heads up photographers, all the proceeds from sales in this collection will be used to scoop up some of your work, so feel free to share your collections below👀
It's incredible the pace at which we are seeing such incredible work show up in this space. Honored to be among the company of so many incredible artists and to have the good fortune to be able to collect from them!
Photographers: As we witness potential movements in this evolving market, I've been contemplating sharing reflections drawn from past experiences, viewed through the lens of both a collector and an artist. 🧵👇

After claiming my second batch of ENS from my hardware wallet, I have officially been airdropped more value in tokens than I earned in a year's salary at my first job out of architecture school. And all for using a service that I love and believe strongly in.
Um, look at this image from
@tomleightonart
's collection Aviary that I just stumbled across after admiring his newly minted work Variegation on Foundation!! 👀 Very excited to call it my own now.
Trying to keep an up to date gallery that includes all (most of) the photography I've been collecting using
@useGALLERY
. Doesn't feel fully there yet, but ready enough to share!
If you become overwhelmed with a situation, start by giving yourself a break away from the scrolling and know that there are a number of resources available to help, such as
@samhsagov
and
@NAMICommunicate
in the US, who have hotlines available.
Motivated myself to clean up and take a shot of the rest of my desk wall after the response of the last image mainly to show off
@Reuben_Wu
’s Theory of Forms AR piece. The projector location is still being worked on but will post a video of it all once complete.

Really love Reuben's concept for his
@obscuradao
Curated project, in which he explores his interest in how a photographer can utilize the ideas of generative/iterative creation to create a body of work.

gm! So humbled by the amount of activity Crossings (Venice) has gotten this past week. With the closing of the latest auctions, there are now just two left before we're all sold out! Thank you again to everyone who has supported the project in any way. ✖️🤍✖️
So grateful for the surge in support I've had the past few days for my Crossings (Venice) collection! There are now only 9 of the 25 pieces remaining. ✖️🤍✖️
The city of Marfa couldn’t have been more welcoming to the influx of the
@artblocks_io
community coming from far and wide for the inaugural event. So thankful to everyone who made this come together in such short time and impressed with you all.
A few pieces I was able to pick up from an absolutely stunning collection from

I finally figured out why none of my listed items were selling - I was missing a banner!

Net Art and its close relationship to Generative Art
-
The past few years have been a journey for my adoration of digital art, which stemmed from my involvement with
@artblocks_io
& the community of artists around it. A few thoughts+recent favs uniquely engaging with the net👇
Join me on the journey to share my collection of digital art on
@instagram
using their new “digital collectibles” tool (you know, just in case
@elonmusk
botches this whole
@Twitter
thing).
So much great photography entering our wonderful corner of the metaverse - how to keep up while maintaining a steady addiction to generative art?! That is the question…
gm! It has begun. The auction for the last available Crossings (Venice) piece is under way. Thanks
@NFTcrypt0
!
The only other one available currently on FND is Crossings (Houston) 23 listed on secondary yesterday 👀
Experiencing lots of bubbling yet unresolved thoughts lately about my desire for the human “hand” in the physical manifestations of natively digital art. Not sure that just bc we can automate things with machines, that we should, or at least that I find value or artistry in it.🧵
Excited to share a
@foundation
World in collaboration with some of my favorite artists who are working with a variety of mediums and processes to push what we think of as the photograph - from collage, alternative processes, post-photography and more.
I almost always click through to the accounts of unfamiliar names and if they have worked linked in their accounts, give it a look and often begin to follow. Be real, be patient, and the rest will follow.
Anna Condo, this is the most thorough understanding and technical explanation of NFTs and their storage I’ve ever read from a photographer! Sharing because more should see this.
@a1111ac011d0
This ability to own our own smart contracts is something that should not be overlooked when putting work out into the metaverse. And sometimes we have to make the difficult decision to go through processes such as this to enable the best position for our work.
What a historic moment! Thank you for doing what you do for photography in this space Fellowship team. I’ve got a handful of mints that I would like to pay forward to photographers in the space who weren’t able to pre-mint — if this is you, drop your address below. (1/2)
(3/4) The fact that it was all started by one of my closest friends in the world, is almost too much to handle. Thank you so much for sharing your passions with me and encouraging me along this journey,
@ArtOnBlockchain
, love you my friend.
