A timelapse of me and Pine painting the Marfa mural, about five long days of work. The projector was used for initial outlines, then we painted the colors using a reference image.

Announcing QQL, a generative art project that invites the collector to become a collaborator, giving them tools to explore the full algorithmic space and select the precise output for their mint
Hey everyone, starting today I’m going into deep art-focused mode until March. For me, that means no email, no meetings, and no social media. My team will still be here to keep the ship running- it’ll be a little while before you hear from me personally.
🧵 with some thoughts.
I'm stoked to announce my upcoming curated drop with
@artblocks_io
on Friday, June 11th! It will feature my newest program, Fidenza, which is easily the most versatile generative art program I've ever created. 1/3
Did some live coding for the first time last night at the Moonbirds event! Huge thanks to
@kevinrose
for setting it up and letting me open for MMM and Tame Impala 🤯
QQL
#257
, just minted on Tuesday, is one of the most special mints to date, imo. The QQL algorithm is not actually designed to produce these spiral structures that are reminiscent of sunflowers (and other natural phenomena). Instead, it naturally emerged out of the millions of…
Hi everybody, please be INCREDIBLY cautious when doing anything on Twitter or Discord involving QQL. Scammers are out in force with fake accounts, including *verified* Twitter accounts. Quadruple check everything, report scammers, and remember that I will not DM you with offers
The making of Ectogenesis, one frame per code change and run of the program. Most of the work here was getting everything to flow together smoothly, so the start involves a lot of "debug" views.

I'm amazed that Twitter allows verified accounts to change their name, description, pfp, and their behavior drastically without any red flags getting raised. Reports seem to go unnoticed for days. It makes those accounts huge (and successful) targets for takeover by scammers.
I'm very pleased to say that I've just minted QQL
#138
. The parametric artist for this one was
@Simulacrum4k
, who has been exceptional in his exploration of the algorithm. This is the fourth mint he was the param. artist for!
Terribly excited to show Return One [Blue], my largest painting on canvas to date. It took months of experimentation to fine-tune the techniques that went into this painting. It’s a real pleasure to see it in person with all the beautiful artifacts of the painting process.
The QQL duel between
@CozomoMedici
and
@punk6529
came down to a difficult decision. On the one hand, Medici put together a strong diptych with perfect spatial alignment. On the other, 6529 has continued their QQL storyline in a clean and elegant way...
In April I completed my largest mural to date. This one is in Minato City, in the heart of Tokyo. The title of this work is “Two Lovers In Structure”. I’ll explain that title and give a few details on how the mural was created below. 🧵
Experimental plotter painting. Instead of using a pen in the plotter, I've been playing with using a brush and paints. It's kind of a pain to babysit the process and manage the paint tray, but so fare I'm enjoying the results.

I'm excited to announce that
@dandelion_wist
and I are developing a new long-form generative art project to be released late summer / early fall this year

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be showing a set of new work later this month at Art Miami. I’m partnering with Vertu Fine Art for this exhibition. The work will include both digital and physical art, including a series of screen prints and a six-foot-tall painting (!)
A photo from my studio circa 2018. I’ve used some pretty rough spaces for my studio in the past, this one got spruced up but this is how it started. The important thing about studio space is not how beautiful it is, but rather the psychological focus it can give you. The other…
Congrats to the
@blackdot_tattoo
team on the smooth execution, and a massive thank you to
@kevinrose
for being at the front of the queue to embrace a new medium for me and a new way of creating tattoos. There's a lot of pressure when your work is going on someone's body, so it…

We've seen an incredible amount of great artwork! Thanks for all the time and attention!

Introducing Days Fade, a new work that I’ve just released as a 1/1 nft. This work was shown with
@vertufineart
at Art Miami. This work has a very particular energy that I’ve been drawn to over and over again, so it was exciting to have an opportunity to finally show it.
Over the weekend I created a new, monospaced, fully-programmed font that's designed to work well with plotters, especially at small scales. I'll publish the code once it's in a more usable state
