Zara was just 14 months old when she fell ill with meningitis and sadly died. She donated her heart and liver to save 2 other children. As it’s #StorytellingWeek, Zara’s siblings, Sophie and George, wanted to reflect on her legacy. Read their story ➡️ https://t.co/5Gsq9asnNt

@FionaCLoud @mark_toshner @NHSOrganDonor @NHSBT @RoyalPapworth have you seen this latest priority list where it puts organ transplants under ‘clinical conditions’ which infers Priority level 6 not 4?? Have organ transplantees been removed from CEV without notification?? Help!

@BBCFergusWalsh Hi Fergus - we are seeing instances of Organ Transplant patients who are by definition CEV finding they’ve been moved into Vaccine priority level 6 without any warning.

The gift of life through organ donation saves lives. It is often the best and sometimes only treatment available for those who suffer disease or failure of a major organ. Here's how you can learn more about the GOSH Organ Donation Committee: https://t.co/b02X2Awopp

"The night when the decision was made I remember clearly thinking, ‘I don’t want another mum to go through what I am going through.’ It was at this point that we decided to donate Zara's organs," explains Rebecca. #OrganDonationWeek

"My daughter passed away at GOSH and we donated her heart," says GOSH #OrganDonation Committee Chair @rebecca_patel "The fact that it's still beating is amazing. The child who has it is at university doing well. I'd urge all parents to consider organ donation." #OrganDonationWeek

He’s home! 🏡 After being diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy last year, GOSH patient James had a heart transplant during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re delighted to say he’s now doing well. Good luck with your recovery, James! 💛#OrganDonationWeek

Terrible customer service from @TheRAC_UK rang at 2pm still waiting, rang for an update and my call out had been aborted as I wasn’t stood at the car. I was told I’d receive a call 15 minutes prior to arrival so I could stay inside with my children. Predicted another 2.5hr wait!
