Keep the Sixers in South Philly! 🏀🏀👇 Last year, our elected committee people overwhelmingly passed a resolution opposing the proposed Philadelphia 76ers arena to be built in Chinatown.
Plans to build an arena in the heart of our city pose an existential threat to Chinatown. Philly doesn’t want an arena here, and neither do I. Proud to join with so many people fighting for their homes, for their neighbors, for this beloved community, and for our city.✊🏾

It’s tax season, and this video by our state rep sums up the problems with PA’s tax system, which puts too much of the burden on working class Pennsylvanians. Not many elected leaders have the guts to take on the super-rich. We’re glad ours is one of them.
Taxes are too high for working and poor people in PA and unfairly low for the super-rich. We need a better system. Repealing the uniformity clause would allow us to adopt a progressive tax rate, so the ultra-rich pay their fair share to fund our communities. #TaxTheRich💸

Yesterday, I had the honor of witnessing my friend and constituent, Judge Kay Yu, take her oath of office to serve on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. Judge Yu brings with her wisdom, empathy, and clear sense of justice. Having her on the bench makes our city better.

It’s ridiculous that here in Pennsylvania two women can get married on a Sunday and fired from their job on a Monday. Their landlord can legally throw them out of their apartment. The House passed the Fairness Act to fix this. Let's pass that bill and put it on my desk.
