We are shocked & appalled to read of appalling racist abuse of our colleagues at @ProstateUK There is no stronger illustration of why our charter asserts that supporting male health & wellbeing demands that we oppose racism, prejudice & discrimination. https://t.co/yR1ikyPfoQ

New survey paper looking at service users with psychosis ability to access remotely delivered care out now in @FrontDigiHealth. Interesting insights about preference for hybrid models in this population & what some encouraging factors may be. Digital paranoia remains a barrier.
NEW PUBLICATION: A new survey study by the @DialogRemote team shows although service users with psychosis often have the means to access remotely delivered care there are environmental & clinical barriers that prevent, or limit, uptake. Full article here:

Good thread on why yet another Labour U-turn is not only short-sighted but a missed opportunity to inspire hope in the electorate
Hugely disappointing day with Labour rowing back on the £28 billion funding of the Green Prosperity Plan in the run-up to an election. We'll have more clarity this evening but some thoughts on what could come next. 🧵

There's a general belief in psychiatry that people with depression have an overall negative appraisal of life, across the board. This meta analysis shows that there are key variations across domains, and these should be explored in treatment. Latest paper from myself & colleagues
NEW PUBLICATION: Lauren Jerome & colleagues have published an IPD meta-analysis on satisfaction with specific life domains in people with depression.

NEW PAPER: Lauren Jerome & colleagues have published a conceptual review of solution focused approaches in adult mental health research. Despite 50 years of development these approaches have remained remarkably consistent & coherent

This is Rosie Duffield, a Labour MP, liking a tweet that contains Holocaust revisionism. Trans people and gay people were sent to die in concentration camps by the Nazis. This is a historical fact, and it is disgusting that a sitting Labour MP would approve of its denial.

Solidarity with all striking junior doctors today!! (Especially @DavidJHobden who never misses a chance to show off his arms, pictured below) It’s clear to everyone who knows a medic that this strike is because of dedication, passion & care for keeping the NHS safe & free
‘Doctors are feeling more and more undervalued and overworked,’ says David Hobden, an ST6 in respiratory (centre). ‘Five years ago, people were talking about taking a break – now people are talking about leaving.’ [8/]

And when journalists ask an individual politician with a faith what their personal views are, they are not asking what the beliefs of their Church are. They are simply asking "What do you believe?" and there should always be a distinction between those two things
