Rajputs are the only Kshatriyas, Rajput and Kshatriya are synonyms. Everyone else who claims to be a Kshatriya is just a fraud.

The tendency to use history as a vehicle for specific political, social, and economic ideas is found everywhere in the world. At present, though it may appear as small as a cloud in the palm of a hand, it can grow and obscure the entire sky. The historian has only one weapon to

You did not read the original post. Somewhat similar claims are made by all dynasties which I've mentioned. I've also given a possible reason on why they do it, as pure continuation of Kshatriyas have said to have been vanished they try to imitate the Parshuramp type version to.

It tells me that they intentionally changed the suffix of a name to better placate socio-cultural & ritual sensibilities that they may have held. I am speaking in terms of reality not perceptions. They were Brahmans. This is reality. Their earliest inscription confirms this.

Only the first one stands 'Sarman' (epithet for brahmin) the rest becomes Varman (epithet for Kshatriya) what does that tell you. They shouldn't change it unless they were seeking the ritualistic Chhatri (sovereign) which is only attainable to a Kshatriya.

That is the earliest inscription. They did not "become Kshatriya", they took up arms, as Brahmans. Blood, gotra, heritage, is not changing. They were, and remained Brahmans. Your theory falls flat in face of historical evidence. A theory of fabrication has to have some basis.

Talagunda Inscription of Santivarman talks about his ancestor's story of brahman Mayurasarman and his preceptor Virasarman went to Kanchi and were not treated well so they turned Kshatriya and defeated pallavas to become kings. The gap between this is 100 years

Kadambas were Brahmans. They didn't claim paternal Brahman ancestry after their prominence, they claimed it in the earliest inscriptions of their dynasty. If the suggestion is that even those inscriptions are fabrications then this is purely conjectural/conspiratorial.
