idk if there’s anything the WSJ opinion page could have published that would have made my mom cancel her subscription while I worked there as a reporter. But boy did they try!.
My mom just told me she cancelled her subscription to The Washington Post. She reads every one of my stories. It was a heartbreaking call. I understand why she did it, but I asked her to reconsider. To anyone who has cancelled or is thinking about cancelling, here’s what I said:.

My Berlin-born son’s birth certificate was delayed because I didn’t realize that as foreign parents, we needed to furnish our own ORIGINAL birth certificates, not copies. Had to get them shipped here from the US in order to proceed.
