How amazing are these peat & timber dams engulfed by sphagnum after 20+ yrs! Pretty leading edge stuff in 1999 by @fermanaghomagh @cuilcaghlakes! @UlsterWildlife are identifying new/replacement dams & doing a lessons learned review to inform future peatland restoration techniques
