- Now, BTW, this should be a common knowledge, but students - if you are using antibodies to detect specific modifications on histone (or any other proteins), you should be aware of a possibility that the antibody recognition may be interfered with adjacent modifications. - 24/

Due to it's portable nature, MinION Mk1C could be deployed in a pop-up lab environment for near-community #COVID19 testing using LamPORE. Find out more about LamPORE — a new generation of COVID-19 test — here: https://t.co/9qoxfYTeR4

Thanks @4DNucleome for the intro. Our new tool ( https://t.co/k11Ir4eJ3Y) enables interactive exploration of the 3D genome by integrating genomic data, microscopy image, and 3D structures. Massive amount of work by @nimezhu @zocean636, in collab w/ @belmont_andrew @jrswedlow.👇🏽1/6

Update. The Cleveland Clinic has developed a COVID 19 test that gives results in 8 hours as opposed to the 2-3 days it takes for the other tests. They developed the test in NINE days, I repeat nine. Scientists worked 24/7 once the CDC gave them the okay on 3/2.

"If a beneficial mutation occurs at 'a cliff-edge', it is not likely to get far. But if it happens at a population edge by the bacterial equivalent of gently rolling hills, there is a much better chance of the mutation taking hold"

The place where a mutation happens can be much more important than whether the mutation is a help or a hindrance.
