Do thieves have problems finding police? Isn't the opposite true, that they are more aware of police than law-abiding citizens? Do thieves not have sufficient evidence to think police exist? This is confusing.

It's not "evil", it's just evidence that if a God exists, it doesn't want a relationship with me enough to demonstrate its existence. If God chooses to hide from a non-resistant non-believer, that's on God.
If you think it's evil, that God doesn't reveal Himself to you more directly, or more persuasively, or in more ways, you're actually presupposing a standard, that this God ought to do this. Well, where are you getting this ought from?.

@paulogia0 No, God doesn’t give identical opportunities, but He gives perfect justice. Each soul is judged according to the light they received, their conscience, and how they responded. He is not a bureaucrat. He is a merciful and just Judge who sees the heart.

This sure sounds like salvation is earned or is a matter of character. Congrats on your merit and/or luck.
@paulogia0 God desires to save all. He knows what any person will do in any and all circumstances. It’s not that God must ensure every person will hear the Gospel, but rather, any person who would accept the Gospel will have the opportunity to hear it and to do so. 1/2.
