It's become a tradition for Darfield Labour councillors to commemorate Remembrance Day at the Doncaster Road family memorial. Today I joined @paulinemarkham1 as she placed a wreath and we observed a two minute silence at 11.00am. "We shall remember them" #LestWeForget

Attended the "Growing Barnsley Workstream, Overview and Scrutiny Committee" in @BarnsleyCouncil chamber today, where we scrutinized the @BerneslaiHomes Annual Report. Several searching questions on tackling the challenge of antisocial behaviour by a minority of tenants.

I joined my ward colleague @paulinemarkham1 in standing up for residents of Darfield and Low Valley as the Star reports more flood prevention needed as residents “terrified” of being flooded again

It's fair to say the Darfield Labour Councillors made sure resident views on Low Valley & Bulling Dike were represented during the questions on the flood response. It's clear vital 'competing' organisations must communicate with each other before, during and after a flood event.

Good to meet up with @IMcMillan and @paulinemarkham1 at the craft fair held at @DarfieldMuseum. Some great examples of local artisan labour including the magnificent wood turning from local craftsman Rob Booth. The fair remains open til 4.00pm.

Delivery of community consultation continues, today in Billingley with @paulinemarkham1. Great to engage with residents as well.
