I like this picture. Unlike so many others where he looks pensive, he looks angry. I like to think he is angry that often we observe injustice & turn away or "mind our business." Ending oppression is all of our business. We must end healthcare disparities now. #MLKDay2023 ✊🏿

Just as most narrow #MLK to an #Ihaveadreamspeech paradigm, #CorettaScottKing is reduced to images of elegant quiet strength. She was so much more. She was direct, opinionated and just as angry as her husband about the horrific treatment of blacks in America.

I am mentally ill and yet I have never had the desire to target an entire group of people and massacre them. Racism is not a mental illness. It is a choice of hatred and violence. Do not further demonize and stigmatize mental health in order to avoid the dealing with racists.

This is great! I’m at a ribbon cutting for a project that is dear to me. #HopeHouse in #Spokane will be able to house many more #homeless women in the area. This was one of our first million dollar grants from @premera and our #PremeraSocialImpact program. There are tears of joy!
