History lesson: every single job you now think of as union-coded (mining, factory work, etc) was, prior to be unionized, broadly seen as inherently transient, precarious and for unmarried young people. The only reason they stopped being coded that way is because…they unionized
First off, I never knew Starbucks baristas was unionized. Second, jobs like burger flippers and coffee makers aren’t meant to be careers. You aren’t supposed to be able to live comfortably off of an entry level job like that, they are designed how high school kids for gas money.
