You dive down rabbit hole after rabbit hole, searching for the man behind the curtain. You’ve seen enough to be convinced that everything you’ve been taught about the world is false, and now it’s just a matter of finding out who’s really responsible for making such a mess of

I am off to the woods in October in southern England to ponder what inspiration we might find in nature to re-think and re-design our organisational structures. Care to join me?

I like this thread and agree with a lot of it. But it claims that there is an identifiable group of "powerful and wealthy" and that they "control our societies". I prefer the perspective that our societies are complex systems with emergent properties - no one is in control.

My take on the current bizarre climate crisis denial, and the general political situation, in both the UK and around the world - is that the powerful and wealthy who control our societies - have totally lost their vision, their raison d'etre. 1/🧵

I’ve had an article published! It’s about a strategy for transforming the business sector by fostering more widespread take-up of the Future Guardian model. It’s adapted from excerpts from the book and has been published by @PioneersPost. (1/7)

Just @ThePantaloons at Forest Arts. Absolutely brilliant. One of the funniest, most creative performances I have seen in a long time.

Nice reflections on governance from a thoughtful (former) business owner, Guy Singh-Watson.

In a reversal of my younger self, I have become convinced power should not be confined to one individual or clique.

funny - we are in a society where our hereditary monarchy is more legitimate than our elected government (and cares more too).

...so what Chouinard has done is give a small stake to a type of guardian shareholder, to preserve the mission and values. This is similar to the steward-ownership model promoted by the Purpose Foundation.

https://t.co/PN4hKuW877 This is brilliant, and typical of the man. The structure is interesting. It is not unheard of for founders to give their shares to a not-for-profit (Bosch, AS Moller-Maersk...). But not-for-profits rarely make the best owners of a business....

Yvon Chouinard will give all of the fashion company's profits to a charity fighting climate change.

talking about "fixing" the economy without addressing our broken political system is like talking about extreme weather without mentioning climate change

Chile’s proposed constitution, written by a representative democratic convention, is up for a vote on 9/4. If passed, it’ll be a victory for Indigenous self-determination in Chile and across the 🌎. I've translated key Indigenous provisions to expand access & celebrate them. A🧵:
