Read this thread- regional & social lenders are a crucial part of rebuilding local economies (&communities), the UK is the odd one out in not having this infrastructure @TheFinanceLab @socfinuk @coop_finance @FinanceEarth @embl_em @shared_assets @CBPatchwork
5/7 the solution in most countries is a much more diverse banking system - horses for courses - that includes regional banks, and socially orientated and mutual lenders. The UK is the odd one out and the only G7 economy without regional stakeholder banks
