I think that there needs to be a reckoning within Canadian media that is revolutionary. That we could call an indifada. But when you have racists out there insisting that it means non-white people doing targeted violence to white people, it's not worth keeping a tweet up.

Because you're not a lawyer, let me explain this simply: 1. The 2024 ICJ opinion is advisory—not binding. 2. It doesn't prohibit trade deals with Israel. 3. Egypt buying gas violates no international law. 4. There's no “genocide.” 5. You called to sanction US; US sanctioned you.
Egypt can say what it wants but purchasing $35bn of gas from Israel violates int'l law, including the ICJ advisory opinion of 2024, and is, honestly, an incredible sign of support to Israel during the genocide of the Palestinians. States must stop placing profits above humanity.

“Globalize the intifada” is not an innocent chant or statement. Whether directed at Jewish Canadians or newsrooms it is understood by recipients as a call for violence against them. There are lots of words out there. Nobody needs to use these unless they intend to cause fear.
