Today, Canada’s new government introduced the Bail & Sentencing Reform Act. Stricter bail. Tougher sentences. Stronger communities. These sweeping reforms are going to help keep violent & repeat offenders off our streets and restore Canadians’ confidence in the justice system.

Eleven years ago today, violence reached the heart of our democracy in Ottawa. For everyone who was here, the memories remain vivid. The sounds, the uncertainty, and the courage that followed. We remember Corporal Nathan Cirillo, whose life was taken at the National War

Thank you for your kind words and support, Prime Minister. When I was a law student, I made a promise to a young rabbi that if I ever had the means to build a Centre for the Jewish students of Ottawa, I would do it. Last night I made good on that promise. This building is a

Today I rose in the House to welcome Jewish community leaders from across Canada to Ottawa. The adoption of the Combatting Hate Act, additional funding & flexibility for community security & clear messaging that all forms of anti Jewish words & acts are unacceptable is needed.

Our border officers are essential to our security — keeping drugs, guns, and criminals out of our communities. So, we’re investing in the Canada Border Services Agency to hire 1,000 new officers who will keep our borders secure and our streets safe.

Today we gathered to remember Alex Look and the 7 other Canadians murdered on October 7. But what would have been a sad and somber event combined with joy as we celebrated the release of the hostages and the prospect of a lasting peace for Israelis and Palestinians.

Thanksgiving has always been my favourite holiday. This year, the release of the Israeli hostages and the prospect of a long term peace in the Middle East without Hamas, make this day much more special.

Grateful to President Trump, the negotiating team & all those who helped get us to a place where we can be cautiously optimistic that the hostages will finally be freed & Hamas disarmed and out of power & a more stable peace established.

Today on the 2nd anniversary of the attack by Hamas terrorists, I paid tribute to Alex Look who died a hero, using his own body to shield others from the terrorists. I also paid tribute to the 1200 people murdered that day, including 8 Canadians. May their memories be a blessing.

Two years ago today, Jewish Canadians — and people around the world — woke up to the horrifying images of the October 7th Hamas terrorist attacks. Hamas murdered more than 1,200 people, including eight Canadians, injuried thousands, abducted over 200 hostages, and committed

Radical student groups in Montreal are calling for disruptions & strikes on Oct. 7 to support “the resistance”. In doing so, they’re glorifying Hamas & the biggest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. 8 Canadians were murdered that day. Just vile. Universities must take a stand.
