Today we gathered to remember Alex Look and the 7 other Canadians murdered on October 7. But what would have been a sad and somber event combined with joy as we celebrated the release of the hostages and the prospect of a lasting peace for Israelis and Palestinians.

Thanksgiving has always been my favourite holiday. This year, the release of the Israeli hostages and the prospect of a long term peace in the Middle East without Hamas, make this day much more special.
