Finally, a politician who understands (or remembers) a key reason why society put in the time changes to begin with. Actually changing the school start times back & forth would be very disruptive, so the status quo on time changes makes the most sense.
With permanent Daylight Savings Time, for three months out of the year, kids in West Arkansas towns like Bentonville, Fayetteville, and Fort Smith would start school in the dark. I will always oppose any effort to adopt Daylight Savings Time year-round.

100 percent agree. And it will also diminish the civic, social, and moral value of sports for future generations. We're teaching young people to see and engage with sports primarily through a strictly transactional lens. Gambling corrodes the idea that sports are a public good.
A lot of things become clear in hindsight, but legalized sports gambling was clearly a terrible idea from the beginning. Not only will it continue to compromise professional sports, but it will continue to wreak havoc on families through financial crisis and domestic violence.
