🏥Trusts that prioritise a Day Case first pathway where everyone is expected to go home day 0, length of stay goes from 3 to 1 day! 💷If all 116 trusts doing hip replacements sent home just 2.5% of their patients home the same day the NHS would save £15mil automatically!

Was great this week to do a podium presentation on the our NHSE data on day case hips at #bhs25. Key take home messages: 🦺We know from the data that Day Case Hip Replacement surgery is as safe as inpatient surgery in terms of mortality, complications and readmissions
