The same is true for Christianity + Ifa. My ancestors went to church. My mama goes to church every single Sunday. Part of my ancestral veneration is opening my bible and turning on some 90s gospel (I don’t practice Christianity tho)

They’re not the same but many Black Americans have access to both as a result of our lineage. Also, in Ifa there is a heavy emphasis on ancestral veneration - for the BAs whose ancestors were hoodoo it’s actually very beneficial for them to practice if they also practice Ifa.
I don’t like how monaleo was making all these hoodoo mentions while being an ifa practitioner… it’s no where near the same & the distance between the two is synonymous to the distance between Hindu and Christianity

What people don’t understand is that Atlanta authorities WANT this, they don’t want the MARTA used because then they’d have to expand it. Up north cities have rejected MARTA expansion bc they think it will lead to crime, when in reality the greater use of it is a deterrent.
