While we know Kilmar Abrego Garcia is still subject to our broken immigration system that republican members of Congress refuse to fix in a humane and meaningful way, it great to hear he will be reunited with his family while awaiting trial.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was released from jail in Tennessee on Friday so he can rejoin his family in Maryland while awaiting trial on human smuggling charges.

The bill pending right now in Congress will kill Sesame Street. There is nothing political about Sesame Street. It is not propaganda. I hope the folks in Congress will vote against this legislation. Sesame Street and @PBS has always received bipartisan support in the past.

The announcement today undermines the funding already appropriated by Congress for the site in MD. We will continue to work with our Federal Delegation to ensure that the FBI headquarters are in MD in a space that is secure and appropriate for the FBI.

When I was in college I wanted to be a veterinary however that required a lot of classes in chemistry. After my not so great performance in Organic 1 my vet career ended. Now I get to introduce and vote on policy that helps all of the animals in our state. 😃
