State Superintendent of Schools Dr. Karen Salmon announced all Maryland public schools will close Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27 as part of efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19. More information to come.
NEWS | PGCPS will begin the 2020-2021 school year on Monday, August 31 with distance learning for all grades. Distance learning will continue through the first and second quarters with a goal to return to school buildings in February to begin the third quarter. (1/6)

UPDATE! Beginning tomorrow, March 17, 25 schools will now offer breakfast, "grab and go" lunch and a snack on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily during the statewide school closures. Students may pick up all three meals in one visit. Please RT!
Reminder: tomorrow, Monday, March 11 is a 2-hour early dismissal for students. The school day will follow the same format as other two-hour early dismissals on the school calendar. *Please note there will be no morning or afternoon prekindergarten.

It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the tragic loss of a DuVal High School student.
Grief counselors and mental health professionals will be on campus tomorrow to support students and staff as they cope with this loss.
