I did this a few months ago and nuked every ".git" folder under my home directory, wiping away years worth of experimental "weekend project" branches on company repos.
Shout out to me. Accidentally ran a recursive file cleaner in the wrong directory. Nuked all my files and important documents. Fuck my life.

To clarify, I mean the second option: cutting through the actual valve, to avoid damaging the PVC. Then you just clip the lock washers off.

This is the best technique I found. It was $17 for the pipe cutter (the valves aren't designed to be removable).

Had these stupid supply lines start inexplicably leaking (they're not loose or anything). I searched on YouTube for how to properly install them, to look for clues, but all I found were videos on how to remove them and why you should never ever install them for any reason.
