required identification for porn access is a wedge strategy for policy laundering. have been saying this for a long time. it normalizes here and soon it's everywhere. porn is terrible but parents should parent instead of offloading their job on the government.
The Tea app having all its user data leaked was bad. Now imagine a porn site with "age verification" tying viewing history to a specific identity. I'm sure no hacker or government agency would ever have interest in such data!.

nah, sometimes you build an awesome product the world isn't ready for yet. everybody overlooks timing and I'm convinced it may be the most important factor.
It’s not the marketing, or that the world is in conspiracy against you if your product fails!. You built the wrong thing. It’s too buggy. People don’t even know what they should do with it. If it was good everyone could tell the second they used it. Good software is obvious.

Woke up floating in the ocean with bullet holes and no memory. Turns out I was a CIA assassin in a black ops program, hunted by the people who made me. Spent the next 6 months hiding out in European safehouses trying to figure out who I was.

Hot take: building UIs from app state to presentational views in the same manner is insanely debuggable and productive and aligns very closely with FP. That's what react originally nailed but has lost sight of trying to shift their source of truth lower as of late.
ok, after a few days of programming it, i think i **like** elixir. i don't know if its love, but there is a feeling there.
