"this is not a Starbucks problem; it’s a systems problem" But Starbucks created the system and only Starbucks can redesign it. Fat chance, it would seem. Good story and moral.

Keir Starmer is considering India's Aadhaar as UK digital ID model, but detractors warn of ‘digital coercion’ and security breaches. "Your basis to live is checked at each and every step." Guardian article: https://t.co/SAXaBZkMyA
Digital ID was NOT in Labour’s 2024 Manifesto. When they say there is a public mandate for this, they are wrong. Nobody voted for this- yet it will affect everyone. Don’t submit to the state.

I have an elderly friend who is in her 80s. She lives in Cornwall. Mary is very switched on but she struggles with new technology a bit - especially parking apps. All she wants to do is put her car in a space for a couple of hours and pay. She does not want to sign up for a

Reminds me of Arthur Mullard on Celebrity Squares. His answer to the question "What does the symbol H2SO4 stand for?" was "It's the postcode for Hammersmith Broadway."
The Hammersmith Flyover, which slices through Hammersmith town centre, could be buried in a road tunnel if a plan by Hammersmith and Fulham Council goes ahead. https://t.co/HJ1ziWEtIi

Feel the joy.
Our railway system isn’t *always* great, but there *are*some bits which are extraordinarily ACE. One such is @tfwrail’s dining car service, between Cardiff & Manchester: I’ve just settled down to a £12.50 chef-cooked breakfast; my first class ticket was just £5 more than the
