Why have schools not spent the millions promised on catching up leaving yet more state educated kids behind? Many of whom are no longer in formal education? When is proper investment in our kids (& not just those of the very wealthy) going to happen? #bringbackteaching

Day 4 of the teacher’s strike, which I support because without giving schools more they cannot afford the pay rises. How many of the members of cabinet had their kids off today? How many watched their state educated kids’ education fall away during the pandemic?

I think this might be my resolutions for 2023!
While everyone is making resolutions about how much MORE they should be doing, I’m planning to do less. Less overworking, less missing out, less stress, less guilt, less saying ‘yes’ to everything, less exhaustion. Bring on 2023 and how less will give more (I hope!) x

This was so moving. Spontaneously stopped off at the London Bridge station organ to play a couple of pieces for the Queen. This lovely security guard, Marcella, asked if I could play Lascia ch'io pianga. Turns out she trained as a singer! ❤️😭

@briefforhire We have been advised by the Crown Office that the title Queen's Counsel (QC) changes to King's Counsel (KC) with immediate effect. The change is automatic so there are no new Letters Patent.

The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.
