For the price of letting 10 cops continuously violate NYers rights, we could have installed 2,615 Bioswales. 2,615 of them would be able to collect over 196 MILLION gallons of water & keep it from flooding our streets, subways, and homes. Letting NYC flood is a policy choice.
We can't just keep paying tens of millions of dollars to cover for officers who serially abuse their power. They must be held truly accountable.

This is a disgraceful injustice being praised by Eric Adams. To be clear, this guy was following NYPD orders, verbally insulted a cop while doing so, then got assaulted by the cop. You shouldn’t prosecute people for defending themselves against a cop abusing his power.
Our police officers are the front line of public safety — an attack on them is an attack on all of us. We’re glad to see this individual held accountable for his disgraceful assault.
