I don’t know of a SINGLE hospitality business that would like to stay open beyond the hours they are currently licensed for. This clueless Govt are desperate to throw up these nonsense smokescreens in an attempt to demonstrate they are helping the sector & boosting the economy.

The fact that the Gov't are considering extending hours for pubs, highlights how out of touch they are with the sector. They don't need extra hours, with extra costs, they need a reversal of the NI increase, reduction in Business rates and a lowering of VAT. Extending hours is

Another empty gesture from the government, this isn’t what we need help with, people’s drinking habits have changed massively, we need help financially like a cut to VAT for hospitality like other countries have done, help with business rates, but they don’t want to hear that 🤷🏻♀️
