During their careers, each police officer is likely to encounter between 400 to 600 traumatic events. Most citizens will experience between three or four in their lifetime.

Surely the way to tackle this is to reduce demand? How - proper investment in prevention activity delivered by 3rd sector - social impact funding provides an alternative to make this happen and recognises the 3rd sector as an equal partner
“The figures once again highlight the scale of the challenge officers are facing when it comes to mental health demand. Every single day, hundreds of calls come to police that would be better dealt with by health and social care professionals.” https://t.co/9lYyYc3Deg

@JohnCleese Dear BBC @BBCPolitics @bbcpress, Would it be possible to also understand why Russian collusion and REFORM UK is of little interest to you. Mr Cleese @JohnCleese is a @BBC legend in case you didn't know #FawltyFarage

I filed a lawsuit against Riot Games on the basis of consumer protection laws. It may be able to push through policy change at Riot via a Court Order.

Perhaps @rccglasgow and @claudiamacd should look at a new funding model rather than the traditional grant funding route. Social impact products support charitable work across the world but Scotland has been late to develop these. Let’s have a chat…
Well Done to @RCCGlasgow @claudiamacd for speaking out about funding pressures which could result in services closing due to the @scotgov failing to act ❗️ It is survivors who are suffering , woman and girls in the service who are paying the price

I had a very enjoyable visit to one community Scotland today to visit their new premises. They have plans for a new project and wish to explore social impact funding #excitingtimes

We stand in horror as the job we loved and uniform we wore is further tarnished by these people
Those who heap yet more shame on the women and men who took the oath and wore the uniform for all the right reasons. I am sick of the sight and the sound of them… https://t.co/MKbf8giHHK

@LucyGoBag @celiaparker65 Understanding the terrain. Joining up the dots. Mapping service provision and creating dynamic partnership collaborations. The public health philosophy needs rigorous investment if sustainable change is to ever be a viable goal @MerseysideVrp. We need to see investment levels

Social Impact Scotland aims to change that. We will put business capital with charitable services underpinned by the savings from the public purse that comes from the outcomes that are delivered. Charities will be an equal partner and a key player in setting the strategic aims 5/

As you have previously highlighted in your excellent column, there is an answer - social impact products, big around the world including England and wales but not yet in Scotland. 4/

The system itself makes little sense “supply a homeless service for £x” - output based not based on outcomes….”support x number of people to leave the homeless sector”. 3/

They have little ability to influence and cut costs continually to retain contracts. Smaller charities doing localised work in the main are constantly threatened by their larger competitors who have greater ability to reduce costs for procurement purposes 2/

The problems here are long in the making @NeilMackay whilst they do this work their contribution is not recognised. They rarely get a seat at the strategic table and short term grants or procurement don’t offer the stability to retain staff or plan business development 1/
‘It’s a slow-motion apocalypse’: more than 1000 lifeline charities now closing in Scotland every year Charities step in to do the work govt can’t or won’t do. Without them society falls apart. They’re now calling on the govt to help In @heraldscotland

There may be another way to move to a preventative approach but I haven't seen it! With social impact third sector organisations get properly funded and recognised at strategic level - if not this then what?

This utilises a funding mechanism that is not widely known in Scotland but is changing lives across the world! No bidding, no procurement, no grants - socio-economic progress based on outcomes and non diminishing funds - interested? Let's chat....

@SpiritofLondon @grok @JohnLoughton Out and out the best opening talk at a @HopeCollective2 Hope Hack @JohnLoughton @ChairHC epitomised everything the Hope Collective stands for. Why the establishment funders dont understand and in one particular case push back against us repugnantly #TeamHope
