What NIH purports to do here is illegal. In annual appropriations bills for the past several years, Congress has specifically banned NIH from changing indirect costs: https://t.co/9ArVmHK3ix
Last year, $9B of the $35B that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) granted for research was used for administrative overhead, what is known as “indirect costs.” Today, NIH lowered the maximum indirect cost rate research institutions can charge the government to 15%, above

Today my paper with Nora and Lukas Wenner, ‚More effort with less pay’ got accepted - a dozen years after its inception - a very emotional moment. I remember so vividly when we were plotting in Berlin.

Great advice for theory talks. "You may feel that you can skip examples because the theorem entails all the examples. This is a false economy."
I've put together presentation advice for econ theory talks. It's coming that time of year when many young theorists rapidly learn to present papers, so I thought this might be useful. https://t.co/aihRou24Ii

Take-away from the economists: Whatever one's stance on the ethics of abortion, it is absurd for MS to claim that Roe does not matter. Overturning Roe would dramatically affect women's personal and economic lives, as well as those of their families. 17/
