Inheritance tax is the most vindictive of all taxes. Robbing the dead. Punishing the bereaved. Destroying a lifetime of family work, legacy and assets.

I loved working with Mick. We had good times and many laughs over the years covering all sorts of stories. He was also great to be with in a tough or hairy situation. He was an instinctive and natural journalist and an outstanding photographer, mentor and friend. RIP Mick.

Building Netflix taught me that your first idea is rarely your best idea. We started mailing DVDs, not streaming movies. Stay married to the problem you’re solving, not the solution you THINK will solve it.

The first vision came in 1916. A professor, Patrick Abercrombie, won a competition to redesign Dublin. He proposed suburban homes, a street grid—and a metro. He wasn’t dreaming. London had one since 1863. Glasgow since 1896. So why didn’t Dublin get one?

Dublin Street named after one of the city's famous kings, Sitric Silkenbeard, whose army battled against Brian Boru's march on Leinster around now in 1014. King Sitric minted the first coins in Ireland, the silver penny. #history #vikings #Archaeology #Dublin
