This is a great intro π§΅! And for this question: GO uses annotation extensions, an additional field connected to the GO term with a contextual relation like "occurs in". This allows context to be added like tying a MF to a particular CC! If you use GO don't forget the extensions.
now, take protein moonlighting: a single protein can have multiple, seemingly unrelated functions depending on its cellular context. How do we capture this in GO without losing the nuance?
