A ward in my hospital had no doctors on it today because of an annual leave mix up. A doctor who was meant to be off work offered to do it as a locum and consultant agreed, then the budgeting department said no so it was left to the on-call doctor…

An amazing achievement, to selflessly sleep in an RV on TV for two weeks for £400,000 and national forgiveness. For now we may forgive him every grandmother, every grandfather, every son, daughter and child who died under his watch. He is now clean. He ate some bad food on TV.

As someone going through adoption and foster processes I think the @JohnLewisRetail advert has a really positive message. Families are used to flog stuff at Christmas all the time. Recognizing some families are foster and adoptive families is a modern & important development
