Our 2023 family cycle-camping trip to Europe 🚲. Train London to Brighton, cycle to Newhaven, ferry to Dieppe, cycle to Paris 🇫🇷, train to Amiens, cycle to coast & train to Calais, along Atlantic Coast route to Belgium 🇧🇪 with a diversion to Bruges, & onto the Netherlands 🇳🇱. 1/3

Pls can you engage with people who know about building active travel infrastructure @Meg_HillierMP?.Banning bus stop bypasses means no continuous cycle network, thus cycling only for the brave. In a climate emergency. In an obesity crisis. Children unable to travel independently.

Yesterday there was another serious collision on Kenworthy Road involving a driver and a cyclist. How many more KSIs until @TfL take action and make this road safe for cycling?.#VisionZero.@SarahWoodberryD @mayorofhackney @willnorman @CarolineRussell . @ActionVZ @hackney_cycling.
It shouldn't take a death for action. This is clearly not a safe cycle route as in its current designation (I say designation as it was never designed for cycling). We need to hear what @TfL are planning to ensure there is never another casualty or fatality on LCN 8. #VisionZero

London Fields west entrance @limebike customers have parked multiple bikes illegally over a zebra crossing. Lime have a contract with @hackneycouncil to ensure users park bikes in designated parking areas to keep pavements safe and accessible. Sort it out. CC: @SarahWoodberryD

This junction will impact TfL buses & is a major London junction redesign that will be in place for decades, it is within your remit & your responsibility to ensure it is safer, with a focus on Vision Zero design. There's already a better design available. Pls speak up. 4/4

5. It does not provide segregated cycle provision .6. It slows buses as cyclists are on the road.7. It removes a pedestrian crossing on Amhurst Rd west.8. It creates an environment for pavement cycling for cyclists unwilling to use the road. 3/

In no way can a junction design that FAILS on safety be allowed to be implemented. Hackney Council Pembury Junction plans are not fit for purpose & must be scrapped. & @hackney_cycling have an alternate Vision Zero scheme designed by a leading engineer available!.@activetraveleng.
The new Pembury scheme is discussed. Astonishingly the new scheme will score just 28% on a safety assessment tool (JAT). This is a fail by a long way (70% is an automatic fail) and a very bad engineering design.
