Thanks to all of you for your patience, and to those of you who supported my vision and leadership and I hope you will continue to support and evolve the communities and movements that we have inspired around the world.

Thus, as some of you may already know, I’ve decided to embark on a new journey exploring new applications for Futures by consulting for businesses and training teams. I will continue to carry on that mission of making futures work under a new entity (currently called HABITAT).

The intent, to invite Design + Futures together as a critical strategy for thinking about the future, is a mission that I'm still passionate about and continues to spark important conversations globally.

So after several years of love, sweat and tears working as an evangelist, strategist, event organizer, social media manager, conference producer, production manager, facilitator, and leader, it’s time to move on.

But establishing a volunteer-operated nonprofit is not easy. And I did as much as I possibly could to learn and develop new strategies to bring Futures to the masses.

The Design Futures Initiative was more than just an idea. It was a necessity to help organize our conference, PRIMER, and to connect the communities that were forming around the world who were interested in this emerging topic.

I am officially stepping down as President of @Futures_Design It’s been about 7yrs since we launched the first Speculative Futures meetup in San Francisco as an attempt to democratize Speculative Design and Futures Thinking.
