#neotwitter. On the nights I spent in the NICU, 4 AM was my least favorite hour. Fatigue was likely taking hold (no shifts back then). And there was still plenty of time left for something bad to happen before any relief arrived. 1/6

Less sIVH is fantastic! Is it the hemodynamic screening, antenatal steroids, Magnesium sulphate, delayed cord clamping or combination of many things? Answer would be in a RCT! Congrats @UIowaPeds on a high impact publication. @neo_twiter https://t.co/oL67ihxRQQ

Decreased death, sIVH, NEC and severe BPD associated with early hemodynamic screening and physiology-guided care cohort. Will other centers be able to show similar results to push for the advancement of this approach in ELBWs and improve outcomes? @neo_twiter

Further evidence by late Dr Giesinger et al @UIowaPeds that early hemodynamic screening & physiology-guided care in EPTIs may improve neonatal outcomes. Screening was associated with survival free of sIVH with aOR of 2.09 [1.19, 3.66]. https://t.co/XWg2vMacFF @EBNEO @ESPR_ESN

Surely the only thing holding back automated oxygen adjustments in the #NICU is economics. #Neonates apparently aren't profitable enough. A new paper confirming the benefits of auto O2 control. @neo_twiter @nicupodcast @DGlaucomflecken

Exciting to see so many neonatal trials in @NEJM recently. Also fun to see a multicenter, stepped-wedge, cluster-randomized, controlled trial in a neonatal setting. Eat Sleep Console works great! @neo_twiter https://t.co/HX1zjZdOQD

@nicupodcast @NeoTECaN We certainly neeed to get our own β€œhouses” in order to help fix this. Now is the time to look at Neonatology staffing models and enact change! It’s the right thing to do for attendings, trainees, and future neos. @WomenNeo
