Bitter sweet ending to my #GlasgowScotland2023 cycling world champs last night. Immensely proud of winning a silver medal in the 3km pursuit just 9 months post birth, but incredibly hurt and frustrated to not be given the chance to race for more medals on the road next week.

The day you become a 1st class stamp. 8 years ago today I won @Paralympics gold with @BarneyStorey in London. 4 years earlier I’d competed for @ParalympicsGB on the athletics track. Poor performances meaning I lost my funding. The comeback was complete.

Today I lost one of my best friends. Libby, a dog like no other, working for 10 years as Guide Dog for @loraturnham , before enjoying a wonderful retirement. It took time to win you over Lib, the bond between you and Lora was like nothing I’ve seen, but it was worth the effort.
