The defining moment of my career (so far) was when I was making $70,000 a year. I was talking to a guy who I had developed a Twitter friendship with over that year. I finally called him to ask for some career advice, I told him the exact work I was doing, exactly how much I was.

Next year, I hope Shopify provides us with a more inclusive dashboard, so folks with different beliefs regarding the shape of the earth (I.e. flat) can celebrate BFCM as well.
Here we go!. 🌐 BFCM weekend has officially started in the first time zones, so let's go live. This is the best Live Globe experience yet. Beautiful. And what's even better than a bfcm globe? One in a room full with toys and tools to make it your own. We may have gotten a little

.@SeanEcom yelling at Amazon. @herrmanndigital yelling at Facebook. My Red Bull rep yelling at me because he figured out that I don’t run a convenience store and they’ve been shipping cases to a residential address at wholesale prices for over a year. We’re SO BACK.

Big guest on the podcast this week. His memes are fire. His shitposts put mine to shame. He also runs a company called The Ridge, and they're pretty good at this ecom thing. @SeanEcom gets tactical & practical to explain how a wallet company now sells luggage, backpacks, knives,

Life comes at ya quick. Thank God this didn’t destroy our new house
A story I’ve never told before:. My wife bought our first house. It was March of 2020. I was the marketing director for a chain of go-kart tracks with locations from South Carolina to California. But by the end of that month, I, along with our whole company, were forced to shut

Part of being a successful e-commerce executive is being able to adapt to challenging situations

The team at @PostscriptIO continues to be the most thoughtful team in all of ecom. They called the restaurant we planned on eating at and paid the bill. Thank you @textbub @AngelCKinard @ringmybeller @mikemanheimer . I guess me and @SarahLevinger’s “unsponsored” dinner was.

Couldn't agree more👇. As evidence, in 2022, we advertised on:.Facebook.Google.YouTube.Tik Tok.Pinterest.Snapchat.Bing.& a second, whitelisted Facebook ad account. In 2023, we advertised on Facebook, Google, and YouTube, and we grew our bottom line by more than 50%.

@SeanEcom Good marketers will continue to grow brands. Bad marketers will blame the macro economic environment. (I’ll do both depending on the day).

I want to host a writer's camp for the best copywriters in ecom. Songwriters do this all the time. They bring their best ideas to a group, flush them out, share what's worked for them in the past, and it results in #1 hit songs. Why aren't we doing this in marketing?. Who's

Okay this is what it REALLY takes to succeed in ecom:. 10% luck.20% skill.15% concentrated power of will.5% percent pleasure.50% percent pain. And a 100% reason to remember the name.
This is what I've observed from a decade of running marketing for ecom brands. And this is why I'll never pay anyone/an agency/a SaaS a percentage of spend or revenue ever again

I’ve started my Black Friday deal on November 1st for the last 5 years in a row, at 2 different brands, here’s why & what we typically see:. First, the why:. 1. It allows us to scale ad spend up early & aggressively without tanking our blended metrics. CVR & RPS on the site
To me there just isn't enough eyeballs and share of wallet to possibly capture the amount of revenue we're all hoping to capture from net new customers this month. Retention, sure. That'll be easy. But new? . Maybe I'm being pessimistic but man, I myself am just bombarded with so.

While @herrmanndigital is on the frontlines fighting the good fight against Temu, here are the 5 things we’ve been doing at OG to get the most out of our Facebook ad account, which has allowed us to grow top & bottom line by 40% this year:. 1. We’ve consolidated our account as.
