Leaseholders shouldn’t have to become forensic accountants or serial litigators in order to live in their homes peacefully and at reasonable cost. Govt has to think bigger, go beyond the Law Commission reports of four years ago. A Universal Right to Manage as absolute minimum!
This story highlights why we need bolder action from the government than that announced yesterday. Leasehold is a cost of living crisis, which means challenging the orthodoxy on leasehold for those of us already caught. No more lawfare. Give us control!

Housing Minister @mtpennycook co-hosted a roundtable this week with the construction sector to help us build 1.5 million homes over five years. Today @educationgovuk announced £140 million to create up to 5,300 new apprenticeships to grow and upskill the housing workforce.
