We are dedicated to ensuring educators succeed during those first years in the classroom after college/training. Time and time again, the difference is mentors! Glad we can partner with @ksdehq on this opportunity with @NEAToday
The State Board has approved KSDE’s Teacher Licensure Team to collaborate with Kansas National Education Association (KNEA) to submit a Great Public Schools grant proposal to provide funding to educators who mentor apprentices.

There's a lot to celebrate in the AP Lit results this year. Students showed us that they most certainly can negotiate challenging and sophisticated texts, can analyze, and can write, especially when they’re guided by committed teachers who believe in their potential. #LitMatters!

Another AP Lit Reading is a wrap! Thank you to my incredibly human, virtual table for allowing me to serve you as TL. Congrats to my amazing seniors who bravely wrote responses that were sprinkled among the 1.1 million. Grateful. THE BEAUTY OF STORY IS STILL ALIVE! #aplitchat

Thank you Governor Kelly for making education a priority. Honored to serve on this committee with these amazingly, dedicated Kansans.
I established the Council on Education because I believe that educating our children is one of the best investments we can make as a state. Today, I met with the Council to discuss how we're prioritizing students by fully funding our schools for the fifth year in a row.
