Oburu Oginga just told Museveni to his face: stop bullying Kenyan fishermen and share Lake Victoria. Uganda’s soldiers, hear this the lake isn’t yours to control! Bold, fearless, and public that’s how leaders speak, not threats. #LakeVictoria #Migingo #OburuSpeaks

Students, educators, and communities deserve an education system that prioritizes accessibility, equity, and opportunity. Investing in students today means investing in Ontario’s future.

Strengthening grant-based aid and reinvesting in public education are essential steps toward ensuring that every student in Ontario has fair and affordable access to post-secondary opportunities.

Education is a right not a privilege. No student should have to take on overwhelming financial burdens simply to pursue higher education.

During the meeting, the MPP’s office expressed support for bringing attention to this issue and agreed to advocate for a vote in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario to reverse the cuts to OSAP and push for stronger provincial investment in post-secondary education.

Bobi Wine's speech to EU PARLIAMENT on 23/02/26, introducing debate on breakdown of democracy, justice & abuse of human rights in UGANDA: https://t.co/1SjOu49sG4 It left "DELEGATES SHOCKED ON WHAT IS GOING ON IN UGANDA". WHEN will UK PARLIAMENT wake up & act? SHAME on them.

This strategy is about pressure making loyalty to abuse expensive. It’s not about collapsing Uganda. It’s about individual accountability. Agree or disagree politically but understand the strategy before dismissing it.

NRM apologists should ask themselves: If leaders have done nothing wrong, why fear targeted investigations? Why panic over personal sanctions if governance is clean?

So what Hon. Kyagulanyi is doing is shifting the battlefield from speeches and protests to financial accountability. Instead of asking for statements, he is pushing for consequences.

Now, why bypass the UN? Because the UN Security Council can be blocked by powerful countries. Magnitsky sanctions don’t require that vote. The U.S. and EU can act independently.

It doesn’t affect boda riders, teachers, farmers, or small traders. It affects powerful individuals who allegedly benefit from abuse of power.

For the common person, here’s what it really means: If someone is sanctioned under Global Magnitsky:
• Their foreign bank accounts can be frozen
• They can’t travel to the U.S. or EU
• International financial systems block them
• Businesses avoid dealing with them

That means: •No UN veto from Russia or China. •No blanket sanctions on Uganda. •Only individuals are targeted. For NRM supporters: this is not an attack on Uganda. It’s a legal tool used globally against individuals accused of abuses whether in Africa, Asia, or Europe.
