Sweden and Denmark got connected by the Øresund bridge in 2000. The Bridge Run half marathon this year marked the 25th anniversary of this bridge. A race that starts in Denmark and ends in Sweden. I ran this HM yesterday finishing at 2:28:08.

the quest for attraction is very valid because it is work that pays off, the boost to self worth and self esteem is valuable and that's why this concept has endured the test of time. we are not utilitarian monkeys.

in a way, all of us are born with some form of narcissism, and feeding it to the right amount is vastly helpful. but this is a slippery slope because what you want to not compromise on is comfort which is easier said than done. cue EDs, surgeries what not.

apropos this- IMO it works the other way round. you have to be sure that you are attractive either by reinforcement or by delusion. it literally doesn't matter- and once this happens, the question changes to "what makes more attractive?" rather than "am I attractive?".
