Teaching in University at a very young age has its challenges. A student appears for the first time, looks you in the eye and asks what time the lecturer is coming! 😂
I don't know if it was coincidence but it is today when I learnt from Kazoora's book that the legal instrument that extended NRA's (Museveni's) stay in power beyond 1989 was drafted by Kanyeihamba.
Yesterday the Minister said that if you can't afford the money then don't lose your ID.
For him, losing it is a conscious choice you make after much thought and internal deliberation. 😅
Starting next financial year, the government should consider giving Hon. Segirinya a separate budget to run.
He looks to be more efficient and timely than most government departments.
I have just seen someone attempting to educate Dr. Kabumba on a constitutional law principle (of all things).
I don't know if he thought he was replying to some random guy or. 😂
My career is in golf. Next is resigning my job to go and put in 10,000 hours.
I will be feeding on smiles and high-fives at the golf course in the meantime. 😅
Biggest lessons this year;
1. Don't rush to pass judgment, you may want to hear the other side too.
2. Even when there are zero chances you will succeed, try, and do what you can.
Correction:
LDC Students who graduated and those who were unable to graduate have petitioned Uganda Law Council for a comprehensive audit of all exams.
PS: I am part of the petitioners and I graduated.
Just in: LDC students who were unable to graduate this year in June have petition the Uganda Law Council requesting for a complete and comprehensive audit of all exam results by the Uganda law Council, among other prayers.

Those are some of the country's most needy students, qualified for the MasterCard scholarship and were there to receive their allocation. But what is wrong with going to Senate anyway?
Someone who occasionally visits this country casually made an observation recently but it has stayed with me. He said that we are a people (Ugandans) who are cultured towards assuming almost everything in most of what we do. We have that monolithic predisposition ingrained in us.
I always leave 20 minutes of my class for the students to discuss anything of their choice under the earth outside school.
Today they discussed vaccination before accessing physical classes and you could feel it was personal. Glad that they have a platform to vent!
I love it when someone expresses an opinion out of ignorance and they are corrected in a civil way.
No insults, no nothing. Just providing them with information and the other person acknowledging that they got it wrong.
That is how it should be!
Lecturer: Let us reschedule our class to the weekend because I am busy.
Student: That is outside the teaching timetable and we have already planned our weekend.
I tell you we weren't bold enough. Just wait for the ones coming after us because they are something else. 😅
Up until today, I can't believe that Hon. Nsibambi would buy everyone Javas doughnuts and cakes during his classes for us to allow him 20 extra minutes outside his allocated time.
Easily the most generous person I have met!

Here is a thread on why these brands need to stay as far away from him as they are choosing to do at the moment.
At age 31, Gen. Muntu was commanding the Ugandan army, but there is a random faceless person here saying he is just a Twitter expert leader. We really joke too much!

We need alot of introspection as a country because this is just not it!

The family's stand on constitutional protection for minority groups has remained unwavering!
Classes the week before exams have all students attentive, and asking only one question; "What are you setting?"
Brethren, I am setting only what I taught. Nothing new! 😅
I think we make a mistake when we reduce education to only the job that you can do with it.
It improves so much about an individual. From your thinking, communication, speaking to your health habits, dressing, and so much more.
So much that education gives us!
People are celebrating PLE results and university graduation.
Good for them.
But even most Oxford, Cambridge, and Harvard university degrees will be almost worthless by the end of this year, in the face of AI's advanced and alarming capabilities.

The fact that Mandela could forgive his oppressors but not Winnie still plays me.
To say that all the rock crushing, loss of sight, and developing health complications, as a result, were no match to what Winnie had done says everything you need to know about this love thing!

“During the divorce hearing, Nelson Mandela rejected Madikizela-Mandela's assertion that arbitration could salvage the marriage, and cited her infidelity as a cause of the divorce, saying "... I am determined to get rid of the marriage".
For someone who thinks many things are overrated, graduation isn't one of those. It is such a big deal and for everyone graduating, please bask in the celebrations.
I had a face to face meeting with my research supervisor, she shredded and rubbished my work telling me to repeat most of it.
In the evening she sent me a video with the message "Those who want you to do better don't smile for you at all times."
Lesson!
I am struggling to explain to people in the village how am still studying and yet am graduating in January. Doesn't make sense to them.
One asked me, "Why did you leave Makerere to go to that place you call Centre, did they chase you?"
"The students in the petition, however, say their contention with LDC isn’t about failing. They argue instead that LDC’s failure to follow its own examination rules creates room to doubt the results that were released in June."
Aren't we all looking forward to our TV and Radio Talk Shows hosting politicians to discuss how Covidex works?
We are definitely going to learn so much from their vast scientific knowledge. Ours are a special category because they are all round!
When you read Olive Kobusingye's book (The Correct Line? Uganda Under M7) and specifically the circumstances under which Dr. Besigye's brother died, you can understand why he got emotional in today's presser, while talking about the cost of the struggle. The loss is personal!
2019 is for checking on people. The 'I miss you' is not enough. Check on someone, see how they are doing, add some value to them. We are improving each other in 2019.

The saddest thing about graduation though is that it may be the last time we see some people!
Just like how the Employment Act prohibits payment of wages in premises licensed for the sale of alcoholic beverages, it should have done the same for payment on a Friday. That money is as good as gone!
Representing your country ranks up there among the greatest honors in anyone's lifetime.
I am certain, having your country's anthem played on foreign land or hoisting its flag must be a surreal moment!
When engaging in any debate, you can do well to try and remember the following;
1. It should have a frame/parameters. Otherwise you will be all over the place.
2. Have sufficient knowledge of the basics so that you don't waste the other person's time.
You may think you are intellectually woke until one of the questions in an interview is about the ideas that trigger your intellectual curiosity. Many times we are not what we think we are. 😅

We have really normalised unfortunate events in this country. Ten people were brutally murdered in Kamwenge yesterday, but it doesn't look like a big deal.
So a lawyer represents someone in court and when they are convicted the accused person gets their sentence and the lawyer picks their fine. 😂
